The time to fight climate change, preserve resources, and invest in renewable energy is now! I'm proud to be endorsed by The American Water Security Project, Environment Virginia, and Environment America.
We need to do more for working families in Fairfax County, and I will be a champion for labor in Virginia’s General Assembly. We have an opportunity to end so-called ‘right-to-work’ in Virginia, end wage theft, pass a $15 minimum wage, secure project labor agreements to protect our workers, and make sure that all working people in the Commonwealth have the right to collectively bargain. I'm proud to be endorsed by The Keystone Mountain Lakes Regional Council of Carpenters, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 26, the Mid-Atlantic Pipe Trades Association, and the AFSCME District Council 20.
As a proud immigrant, I will champion immigrant rights in Richmond. I have deep, substantive experience working on immigration issues as a former Staffer for the Immigration Subcommittee in the House of Representatives. In Virginia, we must create a path for all residents to obtain driver's licenses regardless of their immigration status. We must also ensure that our public schools receive full funding and that immigrant children in our public schools get the services they need. I'm proud to be endorsed by CASA In Action, the Mid-Atlantic region's largest immigration rights organization.
I fully support women's reproductive rights. As the 2019 legislative session again demonstrated, these rights are under constant attack in Virginia. Women should not be subjected to the myriad of medically unnecessary restrictions on their access to abortion that are currently imposed by Virginia law. As your Delegate, I will fight along side my Democratic colleagues to advocate for all women in Virginia.
